What a sweet day for a Race,   1000 plus came out to run 13.1.  They came to take it out on the trail.  All of them came for different reasons. Some to just run with friends.  Some to claim the 1st [lace prize.   Some to prove to them self that they can run a half Marathon and live to tell about it.

Today I ran to just enjoy the run.   To have fun.  and to talk to good friends.   and meet new friends.  My time was not imortant.  I wanted to just run around a 7 min pace and take it easy.   I ended up running 132:00       Along the way I talked to several runners and just had fun.   I talked to Amber, Michele, and a few others  befor the race.  Amber is an awesome athlete. She passed me about mile 9   and she motivated me to pick it up a little.

The  beginning of the race was great.   Clyde  and his mountain bike was ready to rumble.  Logan had his Grandpa's Bike AND I WAS WORRIED HE COULD NOT PETTLE IT FAST ENPUGH.    We had a fast group, Dave Holt, Paul.  and the mighty Hayden!  (wonder boy! ) and  some others.      I maintained a fairly even pace most of the way.  I can tell that i am very much out of shape.  Miles 6-10 were the hardest on this race, Mostly because of my conditioning.  Some of the trail slippery.

Hey Wild Bull,

Great Race!! Good Job . . . I know you were taking it easy, but it was a push for me. I'm not sore though, so that tells me I could and should have pushed harder. . . Oh well, it was a pretty day and a fun race! Thanks for passing me at the end cause you really pulled me through. I just kept telling myself, "stay behind Bill, stay behind Bill" even though I fell a ways back at least I could still see you:) You're a great runner!
