Hobble Creek half. is always fun.    Dustin and i Got on the next to the last bus up the canyon.   I would say there were over 1000 runners.  The start of this race is always interesting.  Narrow sarting line.   And every one wants to start at the front.    I got pushed back about 20 feet from the start and had to just wait it out for a half a mile before i could get going.   I decided the night before that i was not going to go all out and see how the foot responds.  I just tried to keep an even pace most of the race.   Got a new PR for the Half.    I am pretty sure i can hold this pace for a marathon.

Bill, I checked out the results and looks like there were close to 1080 finishers. I think you ran a smart race and you were still able to hit a PR, which is great! I think you are on track for a PR come the marathon.

Bill you were running strong, I tried to catch up to you a few times but couldn't get to you. I was bummed with the 4th place AD finish but I was glad that it was you who got 3rd. Considering the reversal in placing at Race4Kids 10K back in April I guess that makes us even :)

I agree with Dustin that you'll PR at SGM and probably closer to 2:50 than 3:00. Same with Marcie. Hopefully I can keep you guys in my sights and you can help pull me along with you.

Good job Bill. I think your ready for the marathon. Just keep that foot healthy and your in the club- sub 3hrs club.

Be smart about the your pace and mileage between now and then.

Once again good luck and I'm excited to see how well your running this year.
