I started off at a pretty good pace. (6:30) around mile 6, my body was telling me to slow down. My hip flexors started hurting. It was dark and the moon had not yet come out. I was running on the side of the road when an unexpected pothole about ripped my right ankle off. (Oh the pain!) As I crossed the bridge and came up on the river to jump rocks, I slipped off the rock and went down into the cold wet water. I ran back sloshing and wiping the tears from my poor little red cheeks. |
