I ran at four in the afternoon today. Felt pretty good. As I was running; I saw this bald headed runner about two hundred yards in front of me. I thought to my self; This must be the "Desert runner." To my surprise it was not the man. It was a cheap imitation from New York. It was a nice day and the heat was on, so I took my shirt off by the river. The Moon must have been full tonight, because the howling from the passing by cars was more frequent then normal. The thought of the day is: Hills are easy as long as you’re going down them!

Bill:

Good job on keeping up the mileage. Can you put in as much entries as you remember since the start of the year, so we can see some patterns in your training?

Last week was very good - 44 miles in spite of the cold. Keep it up.

I wish I could been there to see the show you put on down by the river! Some guys have it, some guys don't.

Looks like you're off to a good start this week! Keep it up.

I will! I was injured in January with a calve strain. Did not do a lot of miles. I have a pattern of getting injured in January. Two years in a row now. It is always the calves. Thinking of just cross training that month.
